Description
“For over four decades when conducting the BBC’s Light Orchestras on radio… I always included pieces from the American repertoire which I knew from the Boston Pops and the Hollywood Bowl. These wonderful melodies were also a “hit” with audiences at my “Pops at the Philharmonic” concerts. I have put together a selection of favourites, including instrumental arrangements from the Great American Songbook, and themes from the movies, to bring back some of the glitz and glamour of a Golden Age.
