Description
Six months before his death, Michael Rabin told an interviewer, “If I were to start recording again, I’d do the Beethoven and Brahms Concertos.” . However, with this issue we get to hear Rabin playing the Beethoven Concerto at last.
Rabin’s world premiere performance of his commissioned Creston Concerto No.2, with Sir Georg Solti, has been previously issued not not this one from Arlanta. He gave only three further performances of it.
